The Northern Districts Cricket Association is proud to announce the appointment of four new staff members. These individuals are Deb McLean, Tom McRuder, and Fergus Lellman. All have a proven track record in New Zealand cricket and have helped to develop junior cricket in the region. They are also leading champions of the CricHQ cricket scoring system and have worked to ensure that the game is more community focused. They are some of the most positive cricket promoters in the Bay of Plenty region net worth.
The men’s side won the toss and elected to bat first. They batted slowly and were 1 down at the halfway stage. However, they soon fell short after falling behind at 73/6 in the 26th over. They were bowled out for just 122 in 33 overs. The Northern Districts Cricket staff believe that the players did their best to show their potential and deserve this opportunity to prove their worth.
Bond & Co Mount Maunganui have won their last two BOP Cup matches with two wins. Their premier side has beaten Element IMF Otumoetai Cadets. They scored 234 runs in the last match and had to chase it down. Their top order batsman Marcel Collett fell just short of a half-century, while Tim Pringle scored 77 not out. The bowling from the Bond & Co Mount Maunganui team was impressive. Brett Randell took 3 wickets for the team.
The Bayleys Central Indians, on the other hand, are in the hunt for second place. They need a win against Papamoa and hope that Element IMF Otumoetai Cadets lose their final match against Te Puke.
